Description

Under the direction of the Manager, Application & Data Services this position is an integral member of an application development team in the department of Information Technology Services (ITS).
The Programmer Analyst is highly skilled in the design, configuration, implementation and enhancement of Saskatchewan Polytechnics ERP (Ellucian Banner), integrated systems, as well as mobile and web applications. This position works closely with functional users to identify and develop innovative programming and application solutions to business problems.
This position is relied upon to provide expert technical guidance, direction and instruction to projects, management, team members and clients.
The Programmer Analyst is highly skilled in SQL and development using 3rd and 4th generation programming languages as well as web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with Oracle databases and tools is an asset.

    Enhance, maintain and support Saskatchewan Polytechnics ERP System (Ellucian Banner) using tools such as Oracle Developer and TOAD
    Design, develop, maintain and support web and mobile applications
    Independently troubleshoot and analyze complex code and data problems
    Conduct unit, functional and integration testing for new and enhanced applications
    Present, interpret, and document information in a manner easily understandable by management, clients and team members
    Participate in projects and initiatives in advisory and technical expert roles
    Maintain a high level of education, knowledge and expertise in application development and programming technologies
    Assure compliance with ITS guidelines, policies and procedures with regard to the project framework, development standards and change management processes
