Description

The Regina Work Preparation Centre (Work Prep) is a nonprofit, charitable, community based organization helping people look for, find, and maintain work.  Work Prep is looking for an energetic and creative people-person who:
    can use new media and digital technology to research and problem solve
    likes working with people and has strong soft teaching skills
    can support people in developing and executing career and employment plans

Work Prep has a public access Computer Resource Centre where people can access digital technology and support to help them succeed at finding work.  While there is no one reason for people using our services, needs include:
    access to computer technology
    support learning how to use computer technology
    support developing digital resumes and cover letters
    advice on labour market opportunities
    support developing work search skills and strategies
    help developing and polishing resumes and cover letters
    a knowledgeable and supportive ear to talk to

The successful candidate will:
    enjoy working with self directed individuals who need brief assistance and advice in their pursuit of employment
    be able to problem solve and think on their feet
    have the expertise to research and develop digital and new media tools to help people define career goals, develop resumes/cover letters and search for work

We are looking for the following education and experience:
    postsecondary degree or certificate
    certification or a commitment to pursue certification in Reality Therapy and Motivational Interviewing
    two years related experience
    a combination of education and experience may be accepted.
