Job Description: The Immunization Nurse functions within a team of Public Health Practitioners focused on disease prevention through immunization across the region. These services may be provided in public health centers or public facilities such as malls and schools.
Required Qualifications

Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Valid Class 5 drivers license
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Level C Health Care Provider (HCP) - Heart & Stroke
Current CPR Certification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Decision making skills
Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with clients from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice
Knowledge in public health concepts
Knowledge of immunology and biologicals used for immunizations
Computer skills in such programs as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
Demonstrated ability to learn new skills, show initiative, function with considerable self-reliance and demonstrate ability to use sound clinical judgement.
Ability to conduct assessments, prioritize client needs, and develop treatment plans to meet needs regarding treatment with a client and family-centered approach to care
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Other Information

Travel Required

Demonstrated ability to practice within the Canadian Nurses' Association Code of Ethics Practices. Demonstrated professional behaviour by functioning within the standards of the Saskatchewan Registered Nurs
