Description

Located at Belle Plaine, Saskatchewan, Terra Grain Fuels is Western Canadas largest Ethanol plant. Its manufacturing facility is run twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week by a central control system and features leading edge technologies from around the world.  
Reporting to the Production Manager, Terra Grain Fuels has an exciting career opportunity for the following position:
2nd Class Power Engineer  

The 2nd Class Power Engineer is responsible for the operation and general maintenance of equipment in the plant. The person ensures that the quality and product standards are met, the safety and housekeeping requirements are adhered and the administrative tasks are addressed by performing the following duties:
1.    Equipment Operation:
    Operates various process controls and machinery and makes adjustments as required to maintain the process or control problems.
    Ensures that all equipment is functioning properly and makes adjustments where necessary to ensure that the product is meeting established standards.  
    Follows standard operating procedures to ensure consistency, safety and quality standards are being met to achieve corporate and plant goals and objectives.
    Solves and troubleshoots operating problems and notifies supervisor of any problems.
    Provides information and direction to other Operators as necessary to ensure smooth operations throughout the Plant.

4.    Safety and Housekeeping
5.    Administrative
Education and Experience:
-  Certified or progressing towards the 2nd Class Power Engineer.
-  Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
-  Computer skills including word processing and working with spreadsheets.
-  Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.

Certified 3rd or 4th Class Power Engineers with relevant work experience might be considered for the position.
