Description

Kitsaki Projects Limited Partnership (KPLP) is growing and currently seeking an experienced Safety Officer. This position will report to the KPLP Operations Manager in the community of La Ronge.

Responsibilities:
Monitor workplace activities to ensure that workers comply with company policies and government safety regulations
Develop and Implement Safety Policies
Be able to prepare Project Specific Safety plans
Inspect interior and exterior work areas to ensure company safety policies are being followed
Be able to conduct Accident Investigation Reports
Be able to Train and Coach employees on numerous safety topics
Be familiar with Occupational Health & Safety Regulations, includes reviewing and implementing
Ensure work practices and equipment meets or exceeds health and safety standards
Other related and administrative duties as required

Requirements:
NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) Credentials
Saskatchewan CSTS, WHMIS
5-10 years of experience as Safety Coordinator
Supervisory experience preferred
First Aid and CPR
Demonstrate ability to foster collaborative relationship within a diverse workforce, have excellent organizational skills and must be willing to work flexible hours

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills are an absolute requirement
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access)
Ability to work in a safe manner
Ability to meet or exceed project schedules
A valid driver's license & Drivers Abstract
