Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position in Emergency and Critical Care at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences. This position is available January 1, 2015, and the start date is negotiable.
The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate include: high quality didactic and clinical instruction in Emergency and Critical Care to undergraduate and postgraduate veterinarians, residents, interns and veterinary technicians; consultation and case management in the Veterinary Medical Centre, supervisory and organizational oversight of the full service Intensive Care Unit; and scholarship and research in the field of Emergency and Critical Care. Extensive opportunities for collaborative research exist within the College and the University. Contributions to the continuing education of practicing veterinarians will be encouraged and expected.
Applicants must possess a DVM degree or its equivalent and must be eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Saskatchewan. The successful candidate should be a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) or have credentials acceptable to the ACVECC at the time the appointment becomes effective. Diplomate status in the ACVECC is required for tenure. Possession of an advanced degree is desirable.
The current salary range for an Assistant Professor is $88,798.00 to $112,678.00 and for an Associate Professor it is $106,708.00 to $130,588.00.
