Description

Job includes the care of our three children - ages 1, 3 and 4 - in our home. We are a pet friendly home with one large dog living in our household.
Job Duties:
Supervise, feed and care for children
Prepare our children for rest periods
Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
Tend to the emotional well-being of children
Take children to and from school, appointments, activities, park, etc.
Bathe, dress, read to and feed our children
Prepare craft materials and assist to use them
Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
Prepare and serve nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks
Assume full responsibility for household in absence of  parents
Perform light housekeeping duties (meal preparation, laundry, etc.)

Skills Required:
First Aid and CPR training, criminal record check, completion of secondary school, and a minimum of 1 year previous work experience as a full time Caregiver for children
Applicant must be a non-smoker
The ability to communicate fluently orally and in writing in English
Completion of secondary education (grade 12 diploma)
1 year of work experience as a Caregiver for children
6 months of an in-class caregiver training course would be considered an asset

Wage:  $12.00 per hour working 40 hours/week & 5 days/week plus overtime when necessary. Overtime rate at 1.5 times the regular pay for hours worked over 44 hours/week.  

Start date of August 2016. Employer is willing to discuss optional live-in arrangements at no charge. NOTE: This is not a condition of employment.
