POSITION:

The primary purpose of the Finance Department is to provide accurate and controlled accounting of organizational records and deliver relevant information to assist management in making informed decisions to set and meet strategic objectives. Reporting to the Capital Management Supervisor, the Capital Management Specialist will focus on meeting the strategic objectives related to asset quality and risk management. As such, the successful candidate will perform tasks and project work specifically related to managing the credit union's balance sheet, budgeting and forecasting processes and the management of interest rate, capital and, liquidity risk. The individual in this position will be responsible for management of modeling software used to validate the credit union's strategic direction. They will also be responsible to provide backup support to the day to day management and accounting of the treasury function of the credit union. The ideal candidate displays initiative and is able to work with minimal direct supervision. He or she will have an aptitude for software programs and a proven ability to utilize productivity tools.  The person selected will maintain up-to-date knowledge of credit union products and services and will provide service in a professional, prompt and friendly manner that contributes to and fosters business development, provides leadership, motivation and commitment. This will be a permanent full-time position, and successful candidate may choose to work from either one of the Tisdale or Yorkton Branches of Cornerstone Credit Union. Travel between these two branches will be required from time to time.
