JOB TITLE: PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICER
Public Affairs Officers provide sound communications advice at the tactical, operational and strategic levels, and act as key advisors to military commanders during domestic and international operations.

The primary responsibilities of a Public Affairs Officer are to:
    Analyze and evaluate attitudes in the national and international media
    Contribute to policy development
    Gather and provide information internally & externally
    Communicate with journalists, special interest groups and individuals regarding Defence

A successful candidate must:
    be a Canadian Citizen
    be 16 years of age and full-time student (with parental or guardian consent if under 18), or
    be 17 years of age (with parental or guardian consent if under 18)
    meet Canadian Armed Forces medical standards
    successfully complete selection process, interview and examinations
    pass physical fitness tests
    Have a university degree or be enrolled full time in a university working towards one*
