Description

Looking to hire an experienced TRANSLOAD MANAGER for our Transload Operation located in Glidden, SK.  Excellent work ethic, oral and written communication required, along with reliable transportation. Preferred candidates will have management experience, transload experience (preferably in sand), rail safety training and first aid training certificates.  We have a secure contract in place and we typically keep our crews working thru break-up.  

We are looking for self-motivated, hardworking, reliable individuals seeking long-term employment.
Position Summary:
Tasks include but are not limited to the unloading of sand at facility (moving rail cars into position, monitoring flows, directing sand to appropriate truck or silo, preparing empty cars for transit) and ensuring all paperwork is completed and entered in online inventory program.
Essentials:
    Load and unload sand.
    Inspect, troubleshoot and repair equipment; carry out regular maintenance.
    Report orally and in writing to supervisors and head office.
    Maintain records (i.e. daily reports, bills of lading and maintenance logs) as directed.
    Assist truck drivers with loading.
    Keep facilities and field office orderly and clean (including but not limited to removing spilled sand, clean spilled grease, oil and paint)
    Additional tasks that may from time to time be assigned.
    Respect for safety. Safety is the first priority.
    Mechanical know-how and creativity. The Operator will have to make frequent repairs without assistance, and in all types of conditions.
    Patience. Operator will interact with customer representatives of all types and with corporate members.
    Saskatchewan drivers license free of violations for the preceding 5 years
    Canadian Rail Operating Rules, Rule 105 training certificate preferred.
    Ability to lift 50 lbs. and manipulate heavy loads or levers.
    Ability to operate tractors and similar equipment.
    Ability to work shift work and on-call as needed.
