Responsibilities:      To work with students, clients and GDI programs, providing all support functions such as; maintenance and promotion of library resource collection, processing of materials, job search, resume building, referrals, job postings, library resource searches, directing calls and dealing with general enquiries from students, clients and the public in person and over the phone, general administrative duties, assist in the directing of visitors, students and other community stakeholders within the GDI Prince Albert facility, working collaboratively with other GDI resources centres across the province, relevant duties as required by other Institute staff and any other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator. The major emphasis of this position is to effectively support the library resource facilitator and to provide support as an administrative assistant and career resource facilitator for GDI Training & Employment clients, the Metis community and the Prince Albert community as a whole.
Qualifications:        The ideal candidate will have library technician experience, information technology experience and/or administrative assistance experience. The individual must have sound knowledge of and practical application skills in all Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc) applications; excellent interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, highly motivated and the ability to work with individuals from various equity groups and with little supervision is required. Connections to Metis, local and educational community is required.  Knowledge of or familiarity with the Saskatchewan labour market is essential. A good working knowledge of Metis history, culture and governance would be a distinct asset.
