Facility: BATTLEFORDS MENTAL HEALTH CENTRE
Department: BMHC-INPATIENT SERVICES
Hours of Work:
In a 4 week rotation: 12 shifts of 11.78 hours, 1 shift of 8.00 hours
Salary or Pay Band:
$34.940 to $45.350 (6 step range)

Job Summary:
The Registered Psychiatric Nurse/Registered Nurse (RPN/RN) is accountable for promoting high quality care through assessing, planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating the total care needs of our patients.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
RN's must have at least two (2) years' experience in Psychiatry and/or CNA Certification in Psychiatric and Mental Health nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS) or Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with clients from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
Ability to make decisions, which must include coordination of staffing, and/or patient care, and/or coordination of equipment
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Training in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills or can demonstrate competency in suicide assessment skills
