Apiary harvesters are the muscle in the beekeeping world. The job requires the ability to handle heavy boxes full of honey in the field, and load and unload honey supers in the harvest process. Honey supers can weigh up to 45kg when full.
Beekeeping experience is preferred, but I am willing to train enthusiastic people.
Secondary school students and high school students welcome.
These jobs are physically demanding, and sometimes repetitive. Applicants must be in good physical condition, willing to work as a team, and able to work around bees. No bee allergies.
Preference for English speakers with drivers license valid in Canada.
All wages are negotiable, based on experience. 40-60 hours a week, as required.
These positions start in July, and generally are finished by September 1st.
