Description

Purpose:  
To carry out planning, equipment sourcing, design, and management for projects involving the installation of manufacturing equipment or facilities or implementation of process improvements that increase production efficiencies, in accordance with the short-term needs and long term goals of Bourgault Industries.  

Responsibilities:
    Conduct process analysis involving observation of and interaction with the production team on the shop floor.
    Develop and document standard work
    Design tooling and fixtures for weld and CNC machines
    Develop maintenance schedules
    Design equipment or processes to improve safety, quality and/or productivity issues
    Implement lean manufacturing principles on the shop floor & in the office.
    Implement changes to products due to manufacturing improvements.
    Conduct time studies to develop base times or evaluate different processes


Qualifications:
    Currently enrolled in an Engineering program (manufacturing/industrial focus is preferred)
    3D CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred)
    Strong computer skills
    Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
    High attention to detail
    Previous experience in the manufacturing industry would be an asset
    Knowledge of lean manufacturing is an asset
    Effective trouble-shooting & problem-solving skills
