Reporting to the Head of LS&IT, the Discovery and Access Librarian will work collaboratively to strengthen the discovery of and access to the library's extensive information resources and unique collections to improve the user experience. The appointee will conduct user research, monitor industry trends, and apply their knowledge of good practices for the discovery and access of library resources to improve tools and work flows. This assignment will also work in support of the Head to help progress a number of unit operational plan priorities as identified in the LS&IT unit plan and as directed by the Head.
An ALA-accredited Master of Library and Information Science degree or equivalent is required for this appointment.
This is an out-of-scope term faculty appointment (0.8 FTE) at the rank of either Assistant or Associate Librarian with an initial starting salary in the range of $75,537 to $90,797.
