Description

The Materials Management Technician is accountable to the Warehouse Supervisor for quality material shipping, receipts, allocation, and issue and storage of all material for stocked activities by keeping up to date inventory records manually or on a computerized system.  

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
    Knowledge of inventory control systems including policies and procedures related to warehousing, material handling, health, safety,and security.
    Knowledge of industrial safety acts regarding material handling for various types of goods including TDG, WHMIS, and CPR.
    Understanding equipment structures bill of material and parts lists including computerized systems structure and operations.
    Knowledge relating to the operation and maintenance of forklifts, warehouse equipment, hand tools, and computers.
    
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
    Communication skills.
    Computer skills
    Forklift training an asset.
    Good housekeeping skills.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
    Grade 12
    SCMP designation is an asset
