Applications are now being accepted for the above position, where primary hours of work are at the Allen Sapp Gallery, however, will include some hours at the Chapel Gallery. This position reports directly to the Manager/Curator of Galleries.
Qualifications required but are not limited to:
Excellent Customer Service skills
Basic computer skills including knowledge of Word/Excel and Point of Sale System
Ability to develop, coordinate, and deliver public art programming for children, youth, and adults
Ability to deliver art educational programming to children, youth and adults
Highly organized and have the ability to assist the Curator/Manager in funding applications and monthly and annual reporting
Ability to be self directed, work independently and as a team player
Excellent written & oral communication skills
Willingness to learn museum practices
Interest in art
Duties and Responsiblities include but are not limited to:
Assist the Manager/Curator in Administering:
Public programming
Collections/Exhibitions/Curatorial activities
Training/Educating new staff
Communications/marketing
Revenue/Donation & Fundraising initiatives
Other duties as assigned
Hours of Work: 40 hours/week; Monday to Friday - 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - must be available to work evenings and weekends as required
Wages: Per CUPE Agreement - $18.48/hr; employee benefits per City Policy
