BASIC PURPOSE:
- To perform a wide range of electrical detailed activities ranging from the installation and commissioning of electrical services in large industrial facilities to modifying existing electrical services and equipment as facilities are changed and upgraded.
- Completing maintenance on facilities and equipment as scheduled by supervisor and/or production priorities.
DUTIES:
- Installation and modification of electrical wiring and controls for large industrial equipment.
- Trouble shoot, electrical problems including wiring, programmable logic controls, relays and CNC equipment.
- Involved in preventative maintenance of equipment and plants, ensuring they are kept in good condition
- Perform scheduled tasks, record results on work orders.
- Work closely with the user departments to track and eliminate reoccurring problems.
- Potentially requires shift rotation & some weekends.
- Complete documentation of work performed.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Successful candidate will be an Electrician/Instrument Technician by trade, with general understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, production equipment and facilities.
- Electrical experience working with large industrial equipment and 3-phase power preferred
- Knowledge of PLC, relays, robotics, and CNC controls preferred
- Strong problems solving skills
- Highly organized
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Journeyperson status is required
