Description

Touchwood Child and Family Services is looking for a Program Manager to oversee one of our Child and Family Service teams. You will be responsible to supervise, manage, and implement culturally relevant programs designed to ensure program service delivery complies with program mandates, legislated requirements, protocols and agreements of TCFS Inc.
As the Program Manager you will be knowledgeable of child welfare service delivery principles, theories and practices and all applicable legislation, regulations, policies and programs. Knowledge of Cree and Saulteaux culture and language is an asset as well as the political and social objectives of TCFS Inc. member First Nations.
Our successful candidate will be a committed and approachable leader who has the demonstrated ability to lead a successful team in the delivery of services to families and children in our communities. You will also have the ability to guide and coach team members in a positive way that encourages individual and group growth in order to meet agency objectives and standards.
Responsibilities include:
    Supervision, training, support and coaching;
    Monitoring the quality of case management practice;
    Lead and assist in managing change within the team and agency;
    Ensure information and service delivery within the team
    Provide leadership to team on implementation of cultural appropriate policies, procedures, services, and community resources;
    Support, and provide leadership and advocacy in community planning in relation to the ongoing development of services for children and families;
    Liaise and consult with the ministry of social services and other FNCFS Agencies.
The position requires a Bachelor of Social Work/Bachelor of Indian Social Work degree from a recognized university approved by the CASSW with several years of supervisory experience. Extensive travel and long work hours is a requirement.
