Description

Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation is the primary regulator for Saskatchewan credit unions. Our objective is to instill confidence in Saskatchewan credit unions by guaranteeing deposits. We promote responsible credit union governance, and the strength and stability of the credit union system.

We are seeking a confident, forward-thinking professional who enjoys working in a fast paced environment to join our Regulatory Policy and Prevention team.

Reporting to the Manager, Regulatory Policy and Prevention, you will conduct research and analysis to identify and respond to developments in the regulatory environment and financial services industry, including changes to International Financial Reporting Standards. You will develop and maintain regulatory policy such as Standards of Sound Business Practice, regulatory guidance, and directives for Saskatchewan credit unions. You will analyze economic and financial data to report trends to both the Saskatchewan credit union system and our credit union monitoring team.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a degree in business administration/commerce, be enrolled in or possess a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA), and three years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered. Core competencies include teamwork, change leadership, communication, impact and influence, conflict resolution, problem solving and decision making.
