Regina Regional Opportunities Commission (RROC) is looking for an energetic team player in a senior leadership capacity as Director of Events, Conventions and Tradeshows (ECT).  The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator and relationship builder, a motivated leader, and have proven success in prior roles.

ECT have a multi-million dollar annual impact on the Regina region and is one of the core sectors that RROC has prioritized, in collaboration with Regina Hotels Association and other stakeholders.

This position is responsible for advancing major ECT attraction.  The candidate will lead and work with a small team and stakeholders on a number of key initiatives for the Regina region, including:

-Annually secure ECT that provide an estimated economic impact of more than $25 million;
-Over a three year cycle, secure one major event with an estimated economic impact of over $50 million;
-Define, identify and facilitate the planning and creation of a new signature annual event;
-Attract 10,000 overnight visitors through secured ECT;
-Target 25,000 person nights for future ECT;
-Successfully implement and execute the Alliance for ECT strategy based on assessment from Alliance partners;
-Leading the successful implementation and execution of other assigned corporate projects.

Knowledge and experience with WordPress, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator is an asset.  Experience with Project Management methodology and/or a Project Management Professional designation is also an asset.  Some travel is a requirement of this position.
