DESCRIPTION:
- A busy ophthalmology practice in a beautiful office is seeking a reliable, personal and professional individual to help provide superior eye care to patients of Regina and southern Saskatchewan. Potential for a long-term career with professional growth and development.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
- Provides clerical support, including greeting patients, answering phones and directing inquiries within the ophthalmology office
- Using an electronic medical record (EMR), schedules operating room, clinic and diagnostic appointments, cancels and/or reschedules appointments, and mails appointment slips as required
- Obtains and updates patient demographics, insurance information and other relevant data for registration via telephone or in person
- Creates and activates visits within the EMR, and takes brief medical history, preparing patients for eye examination within the office
- Secure patient information in a confidential manner
- Photocopy, shredding, preparation of correspondence and managing the physicianss daily activities calendar
- Stock inventory, place orders and verify receipts
- Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs
- Works in conjunction with ophthalmic technician to provide eye care to patients
- Generates and distributes appropriate reports, referrals and other information as required

- Medical office experience with prior usage of ACCURO EMR an asset, but not required
