DESCRIPTION:
    A busy ophthalmology practice in a beautiful office is seeking a reliable, personal and professional individual to help provide superior eye care to patients of Regina and southern Saskatchewan. Potential for a long-term career with professional growth and development.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
    Provides ophthalmic technician support to ophthalmologist, including medical history taking, vision assessments and basic eye examinations
    Using an electronic medical record (EMR), records examination findings
    Secure patient information in a confidential manner
    Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs
    Works in conjunction with receptionist to provide eye care to patients
    Provides clerical support when not examining patients including scheduling appointments for the operating room, clinic and diagnostics
    Generates and distributes appropriate reports, referrals and other information as required

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
    Professional, customer service oriented individual
    Team player with good communication skills
    Comfort with computer use as office is paperless
    Medical office experience with prior usage of ACCURO EMR an asset, but not required
    Confidential, discrete and reliable
    Licensed Optician, COT or COMT as certified by JCAHPO an asset, but not required
