Description

The Saskatchewan Association for Community Living (SACL) is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual for the position of Manager of Labour Market Facilitation (MLMF). Under the direction of the Assistant Executive Director, and in accordance with the parameters of the National Ready Willing and Able initiative, the MLMF will be the focal point to facilitate increased employer demand for and capacity to employ persons with an intellectual disability. The MLMF will create the bridging necessary between employment service agencies and employers to increase employment outcomes for persons with an intellectual disability.

Duties and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have marketing experience and established relationships in the business community in Saskatoon and /or Prince Albert
Development of labour market bridging strategies
Support outreach and partnership development with and between employers and agencies at the provincial and community levels
Implementation of strategies for transitional planning, employer confidence and capacity, employer-to-employer networks, entrepreneurship, and inclusive post-secondary education
Provide project management, administration, budget and expenditure monitoring
Experience building relationships with diverse groups and interests
Strong outreach, organizational, communication and team work skills
Knowledge of issues and barriers faced by people with an intellectual disability in accessing jobs
Strong knowledge of local labour market issues and trends
Superior oral and written communication skills, excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Proficiency in MS Office Applications; Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
Must have the ability to travel and a reliable mode of transportation
A criminal record check is required
