Description

Shermco Industries Canada is currently seeking qualified technical and safety professionals with an extensive electrical background to help expand our electrical safety training business across Canada.  Shermcos training division provides high quality, industry-leading electrical training services.  Our training courses are designed for workers involved in the construction, maintenance, and testing of industrial and utility electrical equipment.
The chosen candidates will work on a part-time, contract basis to assist with the revitalization of our current training courses, development of new training courses, and finally, provide training of finished products.  

Qualifications:
-Successful completion of an electrical trade certificate (Journeyperson) or electrical engineering technology diploma program (A.Sc.T. or C.E.T. designation preferred) from a recognized Canadian educational institution
-Several years of experience as a safety professional in a relevant industry considered an asset
-Extensive background in high voltage or electrical power systems
-Electrical power systems testing experience; NETA testing experience considered an asset
-Superior knowledge of Canadian electrical standards (most importantly CSA Z462 and CSA Z463)
-Working knowledge of OHS legislation across Canada, at both the provincial and federal level
-Experience and knowledge of utility safety
-Must possess a valid driver`s license and be able to travel for training programs
