IMM is a growing company that provides innovative solutions to mining, oil & gas, power generation and original equipment manufacturers.   The successful candidate will report to the Director of Business Development and work closely with the production team on a complex mix of components.
Responsibilities include; effective interaction with manufacturing, sales, engineering, customers and vendors to facilitate fabrication activities including assessing the scope of work and resources required to successfully complete the project.
    Analysis of drawings, blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare material, labor and subcontract cost estimates for products, projects and/or services
    Compute cost factors and prepare estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors and/or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness.
    Assist in the preparation of estimates for project change orders
    Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine the reason for any discrepancies.
Qualified candidates will ideally have 10 years (will consider less) Estimator experience including extensive experience with prototype metal fabrication, machine shop and welding processes; Ability to read blueprints and engineered drawings; proven history of accurate estimating; strong analytic and problem solving capabilities; high level computer skills in excel, Microsoft suite, and MRP systems; AutoCAD experience a plus.
