Description

Tower Painter for Tower Power Group Painting Co Ltd.$30.00-$40.00/Hr. 40 hr/week. OT available. Full-Time, Permanent, Immediate Start date. No minimum education. Positions Available: 20. Work Location: Various locations throughout Saskatchewan
Tower Power specializes in the painting of energized high voltage electrical transmission towers and sub-stations.
Duties:
Painting of energized electrical transmission towers + sub stations
Applying paint
Wearing and using your PPE (personal protective equipment)
Climbing and painting using 100% tie off fall protection
Following company corporate health & safety rules and procedures
Must have 1-2 years of proven work experience in painting live circuit high voltage electrical transmission towers.
Must have a minimum 2000 hours of painting experience working directly in the energized zone of steel lattice electrical towers and be accredited by the coatings supplier for the application of the specified paint.
Must have ability to work outdoors at heights up to 300ft
Must have ability to travel via helicopter and ATV from site to site
Must have ability to work weekends upon request
Must have ability to pay attention to detail and to provide high quality workmanship
Current Climbing/Rescue training certificate, is an asset
Current High Voltage Electrical Safety training certificate, is an asset
Current First Aid/CPR training certification, is an asset
Must be a dedicated worker and team player, who is self-motivated and punctual
No formal education requirement
We will cover the cost of: transportation; accommodations all required Personal Protection Equipment; all required utility/power company and site specific training; renewing expired certificates for CPR/First Aid, Climbing/Rescue, Product Supplier Approval and Electrical High Voltage Training. We will provide a weekly food allowance and transportation and 10 vacation days per annum.
