Description

Location: St. Brieux and Area Branches      

Job Purpose
The Investment Specialist position will have the primary responsibility of expanding and retaining the mutual funds business as well as assist in deposit growth by providing financial service solutions and ongoing service to members, potential members and staff. The position will manage a portfolio of members, conducting regular reviews of member portfolios and providing advice to members in order to increase wallet share and market share. The position will provide sales training support for other staff as required and acts as the quarterback or primary contact person for their Retail Branch This position is responsible for identifying and making referrals for more complex financial needs to other credit union specialists.

Working Conditions
This position is expected to operate within a regional service delivery model which will require travel between St. Brieux and Kinistino locations.  Other duties may be assigned outside the above job purpose provided the duties are associated with another position at the same or lower pay grade.

Minimum Qualifications
- Academic minimum of Grade XII or equivalent.  
- Technical knowledge and/or experience with investment products. Typically gained through two years selling investments in the financial industry.
- Completion of a Mutual Funds course (CSC, IFIC, or equivalent) and maintenance of registration eligibility.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet sales and cross selling goals or measurable position targets.
