Crop farm offering one full time position and Seasonal Position Available
Full Time Position
Duties: Plant, fertilize, Salford Machine, spray, harvest crops;
operating farm equipment Combines, Air Seeders, Sprayers,
Swathers, Tractors; Other duties include: Maintain farm machinery, cleaning,
maintenance and keeping clean farm machinery, maintain yard and
buildings as needed, perform other duties as required.
Experience Required: Must have 2 yrs PLUS experience working on a
farm that has large equipment, must be a very good with
computers, ability to read gauges, instruments and electronic
readout gauages for farm equipment, must be very mechanical
inclined.
Education Required: Agricultural Diploma/Certificate and Mechanic
tickets, Not a necessity but an asset. Applicants with on the job experience will be considered first.
Skills Needed: Must be mechanically inclined, computer knowledge
and experience very important, very familiar with Case and John
Deere equipment. Must be able to take direction well and work
independently when required. Must work well with other people and
have a good sense of humour very important. Is ambitious and
willing to go the extra mile to get a job done.
Non-Smoking. Criminal check will be required before hiring.
Seasonal Positions: Also interested in hiring seasonally from about March 15 to Nov 15 dependent on weather. Should be able to stay for the whole season.
Most of the requirements for this position will be same as full time but somewhat less experience needed. (Still would need farm experience) Should be able to take direction well and work with us to accomplish duties as required.
