Working with honey bees. Feeding, medicating, cleaning and moving hives in the spring. Making nucleus hives, replacing queens and getting hives ready for honey production. Preparing equipment for honey harvest, removing honey supers and extracting honey. Fall feeding and medicating to prepare hives for winter. Making pollen patties and assembling bee equipment. Helping with general building, yard and vehicle maintenance. Some beekeeping experience is an asset but not required. Some weekends and evening required. Please do not apply if you have an allergy to bee stings.
