Job Summary:
Public health nursing provides services including postnatal care, childhood immunizations, school immunizations, flu programming, communicable disease follow-up and travel services. This position will include a work assignment of a subset (not all) of the services listed above, and is based out of the Meadow Lake office.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Valid Class 5 drivers license
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to adapt to changing conditions
Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially

Advanced interpersonal skills
Advanced organizational skills
Knowledge of population health
Salary or Pay Band:
$38.080 to $47.490 (6 step range)
No guaranteed hours.
One (1) year of public health experience required.
In the absence of a qualified candidate, the employer would be willing to consider a candidate with equivalent experience relevant to the work which might include but not be limited to home care, labour and delivery, postpartum, pediatrics, community health or primary health.
This is a regional position currently based out of Meadow Lake.
Evening and weekend hours may be required.
