Description

The Water Security Agency, a Treasury Board Crown corporation, ensures sustainable water supplies are available to support growth, a healthy environment and our quality of life.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Regional Services, an employee in this job will provide technical and administrative advice and support to clients and staff specific to water resource management issues and/or related events within a specific geographic area of the province.  Duties and responsibilities will primarily focus on regulatory approvals, complaints investigation and resolution, watershed operations activities, provision of technical and administrative assistance to clients and participating in the delivery of the Water Security Agency (WSA) sponsored programs.
An employee in this position will have knowledge and application of survey techniques and procedures, field observation skills, air photo interpretation, applicable legislation and related principles, and applicable legal documentation.  They will effectively interact with clients, and defuse potentially difficult and or dangerous situations, as well as the ability to independently handle issues to ensure outcomes are in compliance with WSA guidelines and legislation.
The successful candidate should possess Diploma in Water Resources Engineering Technology or a similar technical discipline and be eligible for certification with Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians (SASTT) as an Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.).
