Job Description: Camp Monahan is searching for an enthusiastic Camp Director. The successful applicant will have a strong love for children, nature, and camp life. It is essential for the applicants to have strong leadership, communication, and administrative skills to ensure that the camping season runs smoothly. As part of this 18 wk seasonal position the Camp Director will work closely with the Executive Director and the Assistant Director to organize and run a 6 week camping season for children and youth aged 6-15. As the Director you will oversee a staff of approx 15 people and deal directly with campers, staff, and parents on a day-to-day basis. Prior to the camping season the Director will assist the personnel committee with the interview process and hiring of the summer staff, organizing and running promotional activities and events, and also planning and overseeing a staff icebreaker and orientation. This person must adhere to Camp policy and be a positive role model at all times.
This position answers directly to the Executive Director. First Aid, CPR, a criminal records check, and a valid drivers license are required. All qualifications and certificates are required to be submitted at the time of hire.
