Description

Job Description: Camp Monahan is searching for an enthusiastic Assistant Camp Director. The successful applicant will have good leadership abilities, a strong love of children, nature and camp life, as well as strong administrative skills. As a part of this 12-week seasonal position, you will work alongside the Executive and Camp Director to organize and run a 6-week camping season for children and youth aged 6-15. The Assistant Camp Director will oversee a staff of approximately 15 people and will deal directly with the campers, staff and parents on a day-to-day basis. It is essential that this applicant has strong administrative skills, as they will be responsible for ongoing administrative duties to ensure camp runs smoothly on a daily basis. Prior to the camping season, the Assistant Director will help the Camp Director to organize and run promotional activities and events as well as organizing staff orientation. This includes scheduling and running approx 30 school tours for camp advertising.   This person must adhere to Camp policy and be a positive role model at all times.

This position answers directly to the Executive and Camp Director. Strong communication and administrative skills, experience with camping and children are considered an asset to this position.  First Aid, CPR, and a valid driver?s licence are required.
