David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, a prestigious organization, to recruit a Senior Java Developer for a 3-month temporary role to start immediately based in Regina.

You will need to be an organized, hard-working and focused individual who enjoys working both in a team environment and independently, embracing the culture of continuous improvement. Your challenges will include being reliable, flexible to new systems and procedures, arriving at the office each morning with a proactive approach. You will be able to cope with increasing workload, yet prioritize and manage your time to achieve maximum results.

A strong understanding of various Java development and application software programs is important as is the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

The Role:

Working with Eclipse, Gradle or Maven
Working with Microservice design and development  
Domain specific language design and development
Distributed source code management
Strong Linux / Unix skills to be utilized within this role
Web application development
Working in agile development

The Ideal Candidate:

Must be capable of working independently and in team environment
Must have advanced experience in domain specific language design and development
Knowledge of web application development
Thorough knowledge of Java and JVM languages such as Groovy and Scala
Knowledge of various Java languages, e.g. Groovy and Scala
Automation / testing experience
Development, code management and web application experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail
Must be willing to go through Backcheck process
