Description

The South West Victims Services Program is a non-profit organization which works in cooperation with the RCMP to provide assistance to victims of crime and traumatic events.  The South West Victims Services Program is headquartered in Swift Current but has victims services offices in all of the south west RCMP detachments which presently include, Gravelbourg, Ponteix, Shaunavon, Gull Lake, Cabri, Maple Creek, Leader, Swift Current City and Swift Current Rural.  Assiniboia and Kyle detachments have just recently been added by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice.

The position of Assistant Coordinator will operate from the Swift Current City RCMP office.  It is a permanent part time position.  The Assistant Coordinator will operate on a five consecutive day schedule, four hours a day.  The salary range will follow the Provincial pay grid.

The Assistant Coordinator will assist with the development and management of day to day operations of the South West Victims Services Program.  The Assistant Coordinator is accountable and reports directly to the coordinator.

Qualifications:
-Valid Driver's licence and access to a vehicle
-Ability to travel within the South West RCMP jurisdictions
-Related post-secondary education and/or demonstrated work equivalent experience
-Successful completion of a RCMP security clearance process
-Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
-Demonstrated computer abilities
-Adaptability to flexible hours and on call situations
-Demonstrated interpersonal skills
-Experiences working in/with non-profit organizations; working with volunteers; providing crisis intervention services and working with victims of crime and traumatic events.
