Primary Responsibilities
Assist in the coordination, set-up, and paper communications archive system for all photo and press clipping information, including daily social media and media monitoring.
Coordinate with the PR, Marketing and Canadian News Wire (and any other press release distribution services) to ensure press releases are distributed correctly and on time.
Support the needs of marketing and public relations staff as they arise.
Provide customer service support when requested, including phone calls to patients and filling in for French-speaking customer service representatives when necessary.
Plan and draft with PR and Marketing direct-to-patient informational email messages 1-2 times a month.
Fulfill intermediate-level design needs with the use of Adobe Creative Suite applications.
Coordinate with contract designers to complete advanced design needs. Incorporate these design elements into other projects completed internally.
Draft digital & social media posts and responses.
Coordinate with CanniMed CSR's to provide seamless customer service experience on the phone and social media.
Assist with internal communications (newsletter, intranet, company announcements, social committee) when required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A Bachelor Degree in Communications or Journalism preferably with 5 7 years direct related work experience.
Proficient in Adobe Create Suite applications (Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
Bilingual in oral and written communications considered an asset.
