Description

Amec Foster Wheelers Mining business is seeking a Commissioning Handover Technician to work in the Commissioning/Completions Group at our KSPC Legacy project site near Bethune, SK. This is a term position. Reporting to the Manager, Construction, and working alongside other team members locally, you will have the opportunity to provide support on a major project.  

Key Responsibilities
Provide technical guidance & support to the Completion and Handover team, subcontractors, & other contractors by assisting in the preparation of procedures for systematic & sequential pre commissioning
Ensure all safety & precautionary requirements & procedures are followed during the completion & handover process in line with the commissioning schedule
Prepare Discipline Field Work Packages for Commissioning Leads
Manage As Built Drawings from the Field & updates to the Completion Database
Review & manage Scope Drawings for Completion Team
Help identify the file requirement for the commissioning field activities

Role Requirements
Knowledge & experience of Completion Databases & the processes governing its usage, in particular the projects QEDI application (GCA), GoCompletions, SAP, SharePoint
3-5 years experience in System Completion & Handover preferred with general knowledge of construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning & handover of systems & facilities
Clear understanding & ability to interpret data from instrumentation, electrical, piping, & civil engineering drawings & comprehensive knowledge of facility operations, piping & asset capabilities
High degree of IT technical proficiency
Bachelor or technical Degree preferably in a relevant Engineering Discipline as an asset or Post-secondary education in business, computers, or office management
Effective communication & interpersonal skills
Self-starter & a strong team player with the ability to work independently
