Description

Progressive grain farm committed to supporting work-life balance, is currently seeking applicants for 2-3 full-time positions as an Agricultural Equipment Operator. Advancement to Leadership Role is possible.
The successful candidate will be responsible for daily farm operations including, but not limited to, operating farm equipment, hauling grain, and maintenance of both farm equipment and properties.
A leadership role will be earned by: gaining experience in the workings of our farm, demonstrating passion for the jobs assigned, displaying the ability to communicate and build teams, and revealing the drive to get the job done. As a quality contributor, your voice will assist growing and developing the farm.
Essential Functions:
Operate farm equipment, daily tasks including but not limited to tillage, seeding, spraying, harvesting, grain hauling.
Maintain equipment, including daily preventative and winter repair and service.
Use technology hardware/software for efficient task completion and accurate data collection.
Maintain farm and landowner properties, as assigned.
Participate in inventory management and communicate needs with manager.
Provide suggestions for improvements that will create greater efficiency of farm operations.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; Post-Secondary education preferred.
Class 5 Drivers license required, Class 1A preferred.
Experience in crop farming required, minimum 5 years preferred.
GIS/GPS technology knowledge, and heavy equipment maintenance preferred.
Ability to work longer hours during critical seasons.
Leadership experience preferred.
Experience in an Administration role would be considered an asset.
Compensation Package:
Starting wage will be contingent upon experience. There will be periodic salary / wage reviews and the ability to move within the salary scale.
