Description

Manager, Workforce Planning & Human Resources
1 Year Term (Beginning May 2016)

The Global Transportation Hub (GTH) is Saskatchewan's premier road, rail, transportation and warehousing distribution hub. Designed to help local, national and international companies connect to global markets through an efficient rail and road infrastructure, the GTH offers land for sale or lease to those in the transportation, logistics and supply chain sectors.

Reporting to the President and CEO, the Manager of Workforce Planning and Human Resources is a dual generalist role responsible for designing and implementing a full range of HR management and client-centered workforce planning programs and services aligned with the GTH's vision and business strategy.

The successful candidate will be accountable for the continued development of the GTH's HR program which includes: researching, developing, implementing, and enforcing innovative HR management policies and practices. Supporting GTH clients with innovative workforce planning strategies is another critical service this role provides to the GTH community. It involves: identifying, researching and assessing successful programs and best practices used throughout varying industries, organizations and jurisdictions in order to make effective and timely recommendations. In addition to working with the GTH clients, this dynamic position also offers opportunities to work with its diverse stakeholders; provincial & federal agencies, First Nations & aboriginal associations, universities, colleges and other community organizations.

The successful candidate will have a university degree supplemented with a CHRP designation (or working towards) and 3-5 years progressive HR experience that demonstrate an increased level of responsibility and a strong foundation in HR, workforce planning, needs analysis, project management, and program development.
