Reporting to the Bank Shift Manager, the Cashier provides exceptional customer service for our guests and customer assistance through the friendly and efficient exchange of cash, coins, coupons, e-tickets and casino chips. The Cashier receives and pays out money and keeps records of exchange transactions in the Casino. The Cashiers consistently follows procedures to safeguard the assets in the cash desk and performs accurate reporting and reconciliation of transactions.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of grade 10, a minimum of 6 months experience providing customer service and handling/balancing large amounts of cash.
Competencies:
Using a variety of assessment tools such as in-person interviews, written examinations, role plays and reference checks, candidates will be assessed against the following competencies:
Knowledge of and ability to understand and adhere to guest service standards
Knowledge of the standards, practises, and procedures related to processing monetary transactions and maintaining integrity of large amounts of cash
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
Ability to read, interpret and apply information contained in documents including procedures
Ability to provide assistance and guidance to others
Skill in communicating effectively, courteously, and respectfully with SaskGaming guests and co-workers Ability to think quickly and logically demonstrating sound judgement and problem solving
Skill in the use of computerized banking systems and databases
Ability to demonstrate and adhere to principles of teamwork
Conditions of Employment:
You will be required to obtain and maintain a Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority - Gaming Employee Certificate of Registration.
You will be required to work shift work which includes evenings, nights and weekends.
You will also be required to successfully complete the Cashier training program.
