The Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services (YTCCFS) Inc. is seeking a Family Resource Worker based out of YTCCFS Central Office.
Qualifications:
Knowledge & commitment to the FSIN Child Welfare and Family Support Act, the Child & Family Services Act of Saskatchewan, INAC Child & Family Services Program Directive 20-1, and the INAC Saskatchewan Region Child in Care Policy
Knowledge of Cree, Saulteaux, Nakota and Dakota culture and language as well as the political and social objectives of the member First Nations
A Bachelor of Indian Social Work or a Bachelor of Social Work or or Bachelor level degree in a directly related field
Ability to utilize computer software and hardware programs
Ability to make Power Point Presentations
Ability to provide training in group settings
Training for the Trainer Diploma/certificate would be a definite asset
Demonstrated organizational and time management ability in order to maintain accurate and current information and documentation relating to case files
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Able to work some evenings and weekends
Provide a current criminal record check & submit to Abuse Registry screening.
Must provide a driver's abstract and have access to a reliable vehicle
Preference will be given to Aboriginal applicants.
