Hipperson Construction requires an Estimator/Coordinator to join our construction team and contribute to the continued growth of the company in the areas of Construction Management, Design Build and General Contracting services.
Reporting to senior management, this position involves estimating commercial, industrial and civil construction ranging in size from $500,000 to multi-million dollar values. Types of projects include pre-engineered steel buildings, concrete foundations, commercial and industrial renovations and new building construction. The Estimator/Project Coordinator will be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of tenders from initiation through to tender closing.
Further responsibilities will include the management and scheduling of materials, manpower and sub-trade contractors to ensure effective project completion for our clients. Working in a team approach with our network of qualified suppliers and sub-contractors to deliver a quality outcome for our clients is a requirement of the job. The Project Coordinator will maintain established relationships with architectural and engineering consultants, and work closely with clients and client representatives in all aspects of the project stages.
The selected individual will be an Engineering graduate with strong computer skills and the ability to set and manage priorities to meet deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and have proven written and verbal command of the English language. A high degree of accuracy in numerical calculations and estimates is required. Some experience in a construction or industrial environment would be an asset.
