Description

Under the direction of the Manager of Settlement & Community Support Services you will assist refugee and immigrant students and their families in their transition to a new culture by developing, organizing and facilitating a variety of activities for youth. This position requires flexible hours (night and weekends) a diverse cultural background is an asset.

**Candidates under consideration will be required to participate in an assessment process of interview and computer testing.

Education and Experience:

-University degree in the social work, education, Kinesiology, or related field and, one year of work experience working with school age children/family counselling services, OR
-Graduate of post secondary program (2 years minimum) in the social sciences, or education, or Kinesiology, and 2 years work experience working with school age children/family counselling services.
-Experience working in a school setting with children, youth, their parents and teachers and school administrators or sport camp coordination. Training in Adlerian counselling, or life skills counselling not mandatory but an asset.

**Required Licenses and/or Certificates:

-Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) certification including Vulnerable Sector Search - no criminal record (done within last three months).
-Holds a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle for travel purposes.
