Overall responsibility
Take orders from customers and assign them to available drivers.Communicate load information to the drivers.
Key areas of responsibility
Receive orders from customers
o Establish load/unload times and places/directions
o Price the load
o Organize any additional services as required (ie: trailer wash, etc.)
o Change order status if needed
Phone customers to procure loads
Dispatch the assigned units
o Experience with PC Miler knowledge
o Enter truck routing
Keep track of dispatched units progress
Collect drivers daily hours of service, ensure drivers are not dispatched if they will be over hours
Take drivers requests for booking time off
Qualifications
