Description

Job Description: Camp Monahan is searching for an enthusiastic lifeguard to plan, organize and run an effective swimming program for campers aged 6 to 15. Prior to the camping season, you are responsible for submitting a program plan and ordering any required materials within the designated budget. At camp, the swim instructor is responsible for teaching basic swimming skills and organizing age-appropriate games to be played in the camp's junior Olympic-sized pool.  The swim instructor must be 18 years or older and must have current National Lifeguard Service and CPR-C certificates. The swim instructor will also be in charge of all pool supervision during programs and free time. This position will also work with the camp caretaker to ensure the general upkeep and operation of the pool is maintained throughout the camping season. The swim instructor is also required to participate in all other camp activities including campfire, chapel, meals, group activities and staff meetings. Past experience working with children as well as a love of nature and camp life are considered an asset. Interested applicants can either mail or E-mail an update resume, cover letter and references to the Camp Monahan Association no later than March 15, 2016. A criminal record check and up to date certificates are required of all successful applicants.  This person must adhere to Camp policy and be a positive role model at all times.
