Under the supervision of a pharmacist the Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for performing specific dispensing functions as outlined by provincial regulations and standards of practice. This includes packaging and delivering medications for long term care facilities. Packaging compliance packages for non-nursing home patients. Compounding prescriptions. A valid driver?s license is required.
The successful candidates must have a professional attitude, and excellent communication skills. The candidates will join a pharmacy team that prides itself in delivering excellent customer service and a flexible working environment. Applicants must be motivated, possess superior organizational skills and work well both independently and as part of a team.
The pharmacy is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and closed on weekend?s holidays.
One year retail pharmacy experience is considered an asset.
1 hour for lunch, must have own transportation and license.
Hours are Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 6:00pm.
