Electric Vehicle Service Technician

Prairie Machine & Parts (PMP) is a leading global supplier of equipment, parts, services, and technical solutions for the mineral mining, steel production and oil and gas industries. Our mechanical and electrical divisions provide complete service, training and support for machines worldwide. We also provide a full service machine shop, welding & fabrication shop and heavy industrial assembly shop located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. We are currently seeking an Electric Vehicle Service Technician to support our line of underground electric vehicles.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join us in building a world class service department. Get in on the ground floor and bring your hands-on experience, can-do attitude, and willingness to learn to help us grow the service department into an effective team.
Reporting to the Service Manager, the EV Service Technician performs mechanical and electrical service work on electric vehicles. The EV Service Technician will conduct assessments and repairs to electrical components that are returned for repair, as well as travel on-site to troubleshoot and perform field repairs as required. This will involve frequent day trips out of town, and the ability to work underground at a variety of different mines.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have strong mechanical/electrical skills (Red Seal is preferred), are able to assess and determine the cause of a failure, and perform quality repair work, and have 1-2 years of field service experience, please forward your cover letter and resume to careers@pmparts.com.
