Description

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Territory Manager based in Regina.

Reporting to the General Manager of Saskatchewan and Manitoba, the Territory Manager has overall responsibility for the profitability and strategic direction for the branch. The successful candidate's focus is segmented into four key areas: sales, operations, people management, and safety.

The Role:

Full accountability for the profit/loss of the branch, including preparation of operating budgets and expenses
Prepares and monitors annual and monthly sales, gross margin and expense budgets for branch operations
Develops and manages the inside and outside sales representatives to meet or exceed sales goals by defining strategies, offering exceptional customer service, applying market research, promoting national programs, and coaching sales staff
Creates and maintains a positive work environment

The Ideal Candidate:

A track record of success as an accomplished manager with profit/loss responsibility of a small to mid-sized business
Experience in industrial distribution, building industry or related experience is a definite asset
Post-secondary degree or diploma in business considered an asset
Strong business acumen with excellent analytical and decision-making skills
Champions best practices, creative thinking, effective planning and timely decision-making
Effective people management skills
Excellent English communication skills for presentations to key accounts and business owners
Very comfortable with technology, proficient with the Microsoft Suite of programs, and CRM systems
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
