We are seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) with a demonstrated commitment to community inclusion to join our team in providing supports to men and women in our community residences.

(2) P/T NIGHT AWAKE DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
As a member of a self-managed work team the DSP is responsible to ensure consistency in practices contributing to a positive work environment and living environment where the highest level of quality care is provided to persons supported. S/he will demonstrate their commitment to the Vision, Mission, Values and Service Principles of Christian Horizons through implementing consistent behaviour support plans, upholding the rights of people supported, promoting self-determination and encouraging citizenship through community participation. The DSP will respond calmly in a frequently loud and challenging environment while responding to the changing needs.
Requirements: DSW or equivalent; Clear criminal check, Current First Aid/CPR; NVCI, Valid Step 5 drivers license; Commitment to SMWTs; ability to work in physically demanding environment, Computer literacy is an asset.
Availability: P/T DSP: Days, evenings and weekends - (24 hrs/wk) (32 hrs/wk)
P/T Night Awake: Evenings and weekends - (24 hrs/wk)(32 hrs/wk)
